About me
Els Cammaerts
I have always been fascinated by what makes people and organizations thrive.
Growing up in Congo taught me early on that people can look at the same reality through very different lenses.
It sparked a curiosity that has stayed with me throughout my life: understanding what drives people, how they work together and how change happens.
That curiosity eventually led me to pursue a Master's degree in Biology, with a particular interest in human behaviour and adaptation.
After starting my career at IBM and Johnson & Johnson Medical, my focus gradually shifted from commercial leadership and performance improvement to organizational development, leadership, collaboration and change.
Through Somethink Else, and in close partnership with Zenit, I have spent more than a decade helping organizations tackle challenges related to culture, ownership, leadership, strategy execution, customer centricity and organizational change.
What I enjoy most is helping organizations make sense of complexity. Listening to different perspectives, identifying what truly matters and translating insights into practical actions that create lasting impact.
I am not a believer in one-size-fits-all models or fashionable management theories. Every organization has its own context, history and dynamics. My role is not to impose solutions, but to help uncover the insights, conversations and actions that create sustainable progress.
Throughout my career, two themes have remained constant: people and performance.
Because sustainable results are achieved when both reinforce each other.
